Collections
Account-wide mounts, pets, toys, titles and appearances, shared across rulesets. Transmog is optional and you keep collecting appearances even with it switched off.
Tools
No realms: you pick a ruleset. Plus two-part names, a preferred language setting and built-in tools that used to need addons.
Pick Normal, PvP, Roleplaying or (later) Hardcore. Each ruleset is one big shared world per region.
Rulesets instead of realms →Every character has two names; the full combination must be unique in your region. You can hide the second name.
First name and surname →An account-wide setting that puts you with players who share your language. 24-hour cooldown to change it.
New interface text in the Forever client (not in Classic Era).
Preferred online language →Damage, healing, interrupts, dispels and deaths per segment, with its own Edit Mode settings.
New interface text in the Forever client (not in Classic Era).
An optional melee swing timer you enable in Advanced Options, no addon needed.
New interface text in the Forever client (not in Classic Era).
The talent window has Primary/Secondary tabs, but they are locked in the beta and Blizzard has not announced the feature.
A contacts tab that remembers who you recently played with, to help realmless communities form.
New interface text in the Forever client (not in Classic Era).
Official gamepad support; the client labels the gamepad interface as “Alpha” in the beta.
New interface text in the Forever client (not in Classic Era).
Choose HD or SD character models and a modern or Classic visual preset.
Use it, or switch it off and see everyone in their real gear. Appearances are collected either way.
New interface text in the Forever client (not in Classic Era).
Optional transmog →Gear finder
Modern stats on classic gear: combined hit and crit, spell power on caster weapons, a new stat against dodge and parry, and situational effects by zone and creature type.
