About Codex
A fan site that explains everything new in World of Warcraft: Forever — zone by zone and system by system — straight from the game files, in English and both Spanish variants.
What this site is
Forever changes a lot of the classic game: new zones and dungeons, reworked classes and talents, new professions and camps, Legacy, PvP ranks. Codex collects those changes in one place, with the details players ask for: levels, names, maps, recipes and what is still unknown.
We try to be useful rather than exhaustive: simple pages, tools that save time (a camp planner, a gear finder, a name translator) and a clear line between what the data says and what is still to be discovered.
Three languages, on purpose
The game has two Spanish versions, and they often use different names: the new race is “Célico” in Spain and “Cielonato” in Latin America. Every page is available in English, Spanish (Spain) and Spanish (Latin America), and each one uses the official names of its client.
Game names are never translated by us — they come from the client. Explanations and interface text are written by us in natural English and Spanish. Hover or tap a name to see how it is called in the other languages.
How we work
Built from the game files, refreshed with every build, with the build number on every page.
Several sources, cross-checked; every data page lists the ones it used.
Beta data is labelled as beta; values that may change say so.
When something is unknown (server-side loot, encrypted raids) we say “to be discovered” instead of inventing it.
No accounts, no paywalls: every page and tool works in the browser.
Privacy
We do not ask for accounts or personal data. Settings you choose in the tools (for example your filters or the languages of the guide translator) are saved only in your own browser.
Text you paste into the guide translator is processed on your device and never uploaded. Wowhead’s tooltip script loads only when you point at a Wowhead link; Wowhead has its own privacy policy.
Found a mistake?
A public channel for reports is not open yet. Until it is, every page lists its sources and the build it was built from (below), so you can check any number against the game files or Wowhead yourself.
