Where items drop is not in the game files Beta data
Loot tables stay on Blizzard’s servers, and the stats of 3,012 equippable items stay hidden until someone loots them. Each item shows where to get it when the game files or the quest cache say it (crafted, quest, vendor, PvP rank), otherwise from Classic data (cMaNGOS), tagged because it may differ in Forever; 413 of the hidden ones already have a readable effect and appear as “stats withheld”.

How these numbers are made
Forever computes item stats like modern WoW: each stat is a share of an item-level budget that depends on quality and slot. We apply the same formulas to the client tables (RandPropPoints, ItemArmor*, ItemDamage*), fill every effect text with its numbers, and read the zones behind biome effects from the spells’ area requirements.
Cross-check with Wowhead
On October 3, 2026 we compared 300 random items with Wowhead’s Forever tooltips: 507/616 stat lines, 196/196 armor values, 47/61 weapon damage ranges, 72/87 random-bonus stat lines and 145/153 effect texts matched exactly.
Where the two sources differ, and why10
- 2 effect texts differ only in rounding (Zandalar Confessor's Mantle (19841): effect text, Wowhead “Reduces the casting time of your Mind Control spell by 1 sec.”, ours “Reduces the casting time of your Mind Control spell by 0.5 sec.”; Premier Warlord's Magus Raiment (272500): effect text, Wowhead “Reduces the cooldown of your Blink spell by 2 sec.”, ours “Reduces the cooldown of your Blink spell by 1.5 sec.”): Wowhead’s Forever tooltips round divided values to whole numbers, while its Classic tooltips of the same spells keep the decimals (Blink −1.5 sec, Holy Light −0.1 sec), as the game does.
- Lunar Mantle (14247), “of … Protection” bonus 12740: the client data adds +9 resistance; Wowhead’s tooltip shows only the Stamina part.
- Highlander's Cloth Girdle (20099): Spell Power, Wowhead 0, ours 11
- Highlander's Cloth Girdle (20099): Spell Healing, Wowhead 10, ours 0
- Blessed Qiraji Acolyte Staff (21273): Hit, Wowhead 0, ours 20
- Blessed Qiraji Acolyte Staff (21273): Critical Strike, Wowhead 0, ours 14
- Blessed Qiraji Acolyte Staff (21273): Spell Healing, Wowhead 108, ours 0
- Blessed Qiraji Acolyte Staff (21273): damage, Wowhead 140–211, ours 189–284
- Blackened Defias Boots (10402): effect text, Wowhead “Grants your melee attacks a 5% chance when striking from behind to hit a vital point, caus”, ours “Grants your melee attacks a 5% chance when striking from behind to hit a vital point, caus”
- Premier Legionnaire's Felweave Belt (272557): Spell Power, Wowhead 0, ours 12
A difference listed without a cause is still open: often one side already carries a newer beta hotfix. Our data is rebuilt with every client build.
Limits
Thrown weapons show no damage because no reference tooltip confirms the number. Wowhead does not display the new “against creature type” and profession stats yet, so those follow the same verified formula without an external check. Items whose data Blizzard withholds only show their effect.
